Deccan Chamber of Commerce presents its annual awards
Atul Kirloskar honored with ‘Best Industrialist 2015’ and Yogesh Vaghani honored with ‘Life Time Achievement Award 2015’
Pune, 29th September: Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agricultural (DCCIA), Pune hosted its annual awards function at Hotel Hyatt, Pune recently. Shriniwas Patil, Governor of Sikkim was the Chief Guest for the function.
During this function Atul Kirloskar, Executive Chairman, Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (KOEL) was awarded with ‘DCCIA Pune Award for Excellence – Best Industrialist 2015’. Yogesh Vaghani, Promoter of Milton Plastic Ltd. was honored with ‘DCCIA Life Time Achievement Award 2015’. Finally, Suman Kate & Vithal Kate, Founder of Nav Chaitanya Hasya Yog Parivar, were presented with ‘DCCIA Pune Award for Excellence – Social Service 2015’ in the individual award category. The award comprised of a memento and a citation.
DCCIA also awarded other organizations in the categories like Best HR practices, Best Safety practices and Best Safety Professionals. Prakash Dhoka, Chairman of DCCIA, H P Srivastava, Vice Chairman of DCCIA and Colonel Anand were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Shriniwas Patil said, “In today’s date looking at the scarcity of the skilled manpower organizations like DCCIA must take initiative to include training and development of the workers in their CSR projects. I believe that this will benefit DCCIA, society as well as the industries in longer run.”
‘DCCIA Pune Award for Excellence – Best HR Practices’ in group category were presented to companies and their units demonstrating the highest level of commitment to HR management. The awards were presented to Foseco India Ltd., Industrial Metal powders (I) Pvt. Ltd., John Deere India Pvt. Ltd., Oriental Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Sulzer India Pvt. Ltd.
In addition to that, ‘DCCIA Pune Award for Excellence – Best Safety Practices Award 2015’ were presented to Burckhardt Compression India Pvt. Ltd., Chemetall India Pvt. Ltd., Essar Steel India Ltd., Foseco India Ltd., John Deere India Pvt. Ltd. and Oriental Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd.
‘DCCIA Pune Certificate of Excellence – Best Safety Professionals Award 2015’ were presented to Chemetall India Pvt. Ltd., Essar Steel India ltd., Foseco India Ltd. and John Deere India Pvt. Ltd.
The vote of thanks was given by Rathin Sinha, Secretary DCCIA.
