Maharashtra -Applications for district level youth award can be filed till April 20
Mumbai, April 11:- The Directorate of sports and youth services is going to institute district youth awards for the year 2016 -17 and 2017-18. The youth, both male and female, from Mumbai Suburban district and the organizations working for social cause and youth can apply for this awards till 20th of April 2019. This appeal was made by district sports officer of Mumbai Suburban.
The objective behind giving these awards is that the youth of the district and the social organizations who have been working for social cause should be honored and their work for youth should be encouraged, for this reason the district youth awards have been instituted. For the year 2016-17 and 2017-18, two male, two female youth and two institutions, in all six awards are going to be given.
Young men /women award:- The applicant for award should complete 13 years of age on 1st April of the award year. Similarly, the applicant should be below35 years of age on 31st March of the award year. The applicant should be a resident of Mumbai Suburban district for continuously five years. Thorough evidences of the activities and work done should be attached with the application. This may include clippings of newspaper news, certificates, audio-visual and still photos. The officers and employees of centre, state government, semi government offices and the professor and employees of University and affiliated colleges are not qualified for this awards.
Institute youth award :- The institution should be working for at least five years after its registration and it should be registered under public trust Ordinance 1860 or Mumbai public trust act 1950. It is also necessary for the institution applying for award to send newspaper news clippings, certificates, audio-visual and photos as evidences of work. The applicants applying for district level youth award should file their applications in the event proforma and send it till 20th April 2019 during official time (barring holidays) to the District sports officer’s office, Mumbai Suburban, government Physical Education College campus, in front of Sambhaji Nagar, Akurli Road, Kandivali, East Mumbai- 1.
