VC Indian Red Cross Society visits Jammu
JAMMU, APRIL 02 – Member Parliament Avinash Rai Khanna who has recently taken over as Vice Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society today visited Jammu and reviewed the functioning of Red Cross society Jammu.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu who is also the Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Dr. Pawan Kotwal was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Avinash Rai Khanna stressed upon all the workers, volunteers, officials and NGO’s to lend their helping hand in humanitarian activities of Red Cross. He appreciated the efforts being initiated by the Regional Red Cross for the welfare of the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pawan Kotwal highlighted various activities being carried out for the welfare of the Society and stressed for strengthening of IRCS, Jammu Region.
Member National Managing Committee Mrs. Roma Wani, dwelt at length the efforts being put in by Red Cross J&K State Branch during the floods in order to mitigate the sufferings of the flood affected people. She also stressed upon all the members and volunteers to come forward in helping the Red Cross to execute their activities.
