130 players for the 6th edition of Late Shri Arvind Dattatray Lele Memorial Rapid chess tournament
Pune, July 8, 2023: A total 130 rated players will be seen in action in the 6th edition of Late Shri Arvind Dattatray Lele Memorial Rapid chess tournament to be organized by Buddhibal Kreeda Trust and played at Symbiosis Sports Centre on sunday 9th July 2023.
Mr.Prakash Kunte, Trustee Buddhibal Kreeda Trust informed that The tournament will be held under the auspices of PDCC. The event will be played under Swiss league format. The tournament is being sponsored by Mr.Harshal Lele ,son of Mr.Arvind Lele with Rs 17500/-
Prominent players who have confirmed their entries for the event include Top 3 rated players in group A: IM Vikramaditya Kulkarni, FM Soham Phadke and Sourabh Mhamane. Group B: Vishwajeet Jadhav,Shraddha Pawdekar and Hrishikesh Devdikar.
The Tournament will be conducted by Chief arbiter IA Vinita Shrotri and deputy chief arbiter FA Shraddha Vichwekar. The event will be held in 2 categories group A(rated above 1201) and Group B(rated between 1000 and 1200).
The tournament will be inaugurated at the hands of Mr.Harshal Lele and Dr.Satish Thigle. Ex director of Symbiosis sports Centre on Sunday, 9th July 2023 at 9.00am. During this inaguration function three prominent players Shravani Harpude, Dhanshree Khairmode and Mihir Sarvade will be felecited for their excellence academy performance in this 2023 year.
