Pune, 21 July 2021: A total of 1431 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1359 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 17,373 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9308 active patients in the district and 5082 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4226 are in home isolation. Out of 1431 new cases, 346 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 216 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 112 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 12 in cantonments and 745 in rural areas.
Among the 10 deaths, seven were in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in cantonments, and one was in rural areas. Out of 1359 discharged patients, 287 were in PMC, 209 were in PCMC, 128 were in municipal councils, 14 were in cantonments, and 721 in rural areas.
