200 entries for Late Pappu Haldankar Memorial Pune District Table Tennis Championship 2023
Pune, 7 November 2023: Over 200 entries have been confirmed for Late Pappu Haldankar Memorial Pune District Table Tennis Championship 2023 under the auspices of Pune District Table Tennis Association and to be played at Deccan Gymkhana’s Table Tennis Hall from 10th to 11th November 2023.
Mr. Deepak Haldankar, Tournament Director and Brother of Late Pappu Haldankar said that,” The event is conducted in memory of former International Table Tennis Player Late Pappu Haldankar. Top ranked table tennis players including Neil Mulye,Bhargav Chakradeo, Arush Galpalli, Jay Pendse, Pranav Gholkar, Shouren Soman, Shounak Shinde, Onkar Jog, Santosh Wakradkar, Upendra Mulye, Pritha Vartikar, Prajakta Tipale will be seen in the action.
The event will offer total prize money of Rs.1,50,000/-. The tournament will begin on Friday, 10th November and will conclude on Saturday, 11th November 2023. The winners, runners, semi-finalist & quarter finalists will be given cash awards for all the categories. The tournament will see players participating in U/17, Mens and Womens, 39 Plus Veteran Singles and Doubles events, he added.
A special Tournament Committee comprising Chairman Deepak Haldankar, Avinash Joshi, Deepesh Abhyankar, Parag Mokashi has been formed to ensure smooth conduct of the event, Mr.Haldankar added.
