811 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 1,46,120 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 17th September 2021: A total of 811 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 709 people were discharged from hospitals. 11 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
Today, A total of 1,46,120 COVID vaccine doses were administered in the Pune district today taking the total vaccination doses to date to 95,32,301. About 67,26,074 people have got the first dose while 28,06,227 people have got two doses.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 7814 active patients in the district and 3444 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4370 are in home isolation. Out of 811 new cases, 171 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 140 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 76 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 09 in cantonments, and 415 in rural areas.
Among the11 deaths, four were in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and five were in rural areas. Out of 709 discharged patients, 213 were in PMC, 78 were in PCMC, 64 were in municipal councils, and 354 were in rural areas.
