840 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 19,481 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 5 September 2021: A total of 840 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 993 people were discharged from hospitals. 08 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 19,481 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9,355 active patients in the district and 4665 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4690 are in home isolation. Out of 840 new cases, 229 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 166 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 73 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 03 in cantonments, and 369 in rural areas.
Among the 08 deaths, four were in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and two were in rural areas. Out of 993 discharged patients, 278 were in PMC, 104 were in PCMC, 105 were in municipal councils, 04 were in cantonments, and 502 were in rural areas.
