Pune Girl Arrested For Demanding Rs 15 Lakh For Not Exposing Her Mother’s Affair

Pune, 5th September 2021: A 21-year-old girl from Karvenagar has been arrested along with her boyfriend for allegedly demanding Rs 15 lakh from her mother’s paramour after blackmailing him with photos and chat messages. They had already extorted Rs 2.6 lakh from him.

 

Based on a complaint from the man, the Crime Branch of Pune City Police arrested the accused near Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple on Friday when he came to take Rs one lakh. Later, the 21-year-old girl was also arrested. Police said that a search is going on for their accomplice. An FIR has been registered at Vishrambaug police station.

 

According to police, the girl had found out about her mother’s affair with a 42-year-old man who is a building material supplier. She conspired with her boyfriend who is a real estate. They started blackmailing the man and extorted Rs 2.6 lakh from him since May this year. As their demand was increasing, the man lodged a complaint with the Pune police.

 

The anti-extortion cell laid a trap nabbed the girl’s boyfriend and later she was also arrested.

 

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of DCPs Bhgyashree Navtake and Shriniwas Ghadge. The team included Senior Police Inspector Balaji Pandhare, Assistant Police Inspector Sandip Buwa, ASI Pandurang Wanjale, Yashwant Ombase, Head Constables Madhukar Tupsaundar, Sanjay Bhapkar, Ravindra Fulpagare, Pravin Rajput, Atul Sathe, Hema Dhebe, Police Naik Nitin Kamble, Ramesh Chaudhar, Gajanan Sonwalkar, Amol Avhad, Duryodhan Gurav, Rajendra Landge, Nitin Rawal, Vijay Kamble, Constables Praful Chavan and Amar Pawar.
