974 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 40,013 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 18 August 2021: A total of 974 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 885 people were discharged from hospitals. 15 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 40,013 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 7992 active patients in the district and 4446 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3546 are in home isolation. Out of 974 new cases, 266 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 172 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 101 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 09 in cantonments, and 426 in rural areas.
Among the 15 deaths, five were in PMC, one was in PCMC, and nine were in rural areas. Out of 885 discharged patients, 215 were in PMC, 189 were in PCMC, 55 were in municipal councils, 08 were in cantonments, and 418 were in rural areas.
