Pune: Hadapsar Satellite Terminal Fully Operational; Handles Over 1 Lakh Monthly Footfall and 24 Daily Trains

Pune, 17th November 2025: Hadapsar Satellite Terminal has become fully operational with major infrastructure, passenger amenities, and operational offices now in use. The terminal currently manages over 3,500 daily passengers, translating to more than 1 lakh monthly footfall, and handles 24 up-and-down train services daily, including DEMU, Mail/Express, and TOD trains.
As part of an operational restructuring, the Railways has also announced that two daily services Hadapsar–Hazur Sahib Nanded Express and Hadapsar–Harangul Special—will shift from Pune Junction (PUNE) to Hadapsar (HDP) from January 26, 2026.
Three Platforms Fully Functional; Additional Development Underway
The terminal currently has three full-length operational platforms, while work on Platform No. 4 is underway. Railway officials stated that the station now generates over ₹7.8 lakh in daily revenue.

Officials Highlight Passenger-Centric Improvements
DCM and PRO Hemant Kumar Behera said the development of Hadapsar Satellite Terminal is aimed at significantly improving commuter convenience.
“With Hadapsar Terminal now fully functional, passengers benefit from upgraded waiting rooms, retiring facilities, improved ticketing services, and enhanced accessibility across the station. These amenities have been planned to comfortably manage the rising passenger demand,” Behera said.
He added that safety and service have been key priorities in the station’s development.
“Dedicated RPF facilities, upgraded toilets, supervisor offices, and streamlined parcel operations are now operational. The terminal is ready to support more trains and higher footfall in the months ahead,” he stated.
