204 players for 1st Edition of ‘PYC – Pusalkar Foundation Pickleball League 2026

Pune, 3rd March 2026: Aarin Mali(3250pts, BM Smashers), Tanish Belgalkar(3250pts, BM Smashers), Sudhanshu Medsikar(3250pts, Gargantu Destroyers), Ishant Rege(3250pts, Gargantu Destroyers), Kshitij Kotwal(Gold Leaf Hunters), Ronit Joshi(3250pts, Parulekar Padlers), Anuj Mehta(3150pts, Vishram Warriors) emerged the most expensive players amongst 204 players in various age groups who will represent ten teams at the first edition of ‘PYC – Pusalkar Foundation Pickleball League 2026 tournament to be organized by PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played at PYC Pickleball Courts from 4th to 8th March 2026.

Mr. Kumar Tamhane, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Mr. Deepak Gadgil, Hon. Secretary of the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Mr.Abhishek Tamhane, Secretary of Pickleball Dept. of PYC informed that, We have received an overwhelming response for first ever edition of PPPL. The event attracted 204 participants in various age categories. Mr. Rohan Pusalkar, Director of Pusalkar Foundation will be the exclusive sponsor for the tournament, added Mr. Tamhane.

“We are thrilled to organize Pickle Ball league event for the first time and happy to provide a platform for players to show their skills ” added Mr. Sarang Lagu, Joint Secretary, of the PYC Hindu Gymkhana

The 10 teams will be playing 5 league matches. Top teams will qualify for finals. The winning team will receive a Trophy, informed Mr. Abhishek Tamhane, Pickle Ball secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana. Mr. Nandan Dongre, will be the Tournament Director of PPPL.

The highlights of this year’s event is Maximum members participation and a format where everyone gets to play. There will be Open Doubles 1, Open Doubles 2, Open Doubles 3, Mix Doubles 1, Senior Doubles, Mix Doubles 2, Open Doubles 4, Open Doubles 5 total 8 matches in a Tie.

The participants who are all club members were selected in 10 teams through an auction process. The teams, also owned by PYC members, are as follows.
