Rudra Warriors Team Wins Title at ‘Lions Premier League’ 2026 Open Group Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament
Pune, 3rd March 2026: Rudra Warriors Team easily defeated Saachi Super Kings Team by 92 runs and won the tournament title in the 16th ‘Lions Premier League’ 2026 Open Group Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament organized by Lions Club District 3234D2.
Playing for the first time in this tournament, which is being held at L. Ra. Shinde High School Cricket Ground in Sahakarnagar, Rudra Warriors scored 175 runs in 20 overs. Captain Santoshkumar Sangle scored 51 runs in 36 balls with 6 fours. Sajan Modi scored 47 runs for the other side. Chasing this target, Saachi Super Kings’ innings collapsed to 83 runs. Samadhan Dandekar (15 runs) and Rahul Katke (14 runs) put up some resistance. Santosh Kumar Sangle took three wickets, while Sunny Marwadi and Sachin Thopte took two wickets each to make the team’s victory easy.
The prize distribution of the competition was done by Santosh Mane of Rudra Motors, Lions Club District 3234D2 Vice District Governor Rajendra Goyal and Lions Club District 3234D2 Sports Chairperson Srinath Khaire. The winning Rudra Warriors team and the runner-up Saachi Super Kings team were given trophies and medals.
