Pune: PCMC Women’s ITI Begins Admission Process for August 2026 Session

Pimpri Chinchwad, 4th June 2026: The admission process for the August 2026 session at the Women’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) operated by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) in Kasarwadi has commenced, with admissions to be conducted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) in accordance with government norms and reservation policies. Institute principal Shashikant Patil said a total of 140 seats are available across various technical and vocational courses aimed at enhancing employability and self-employment opportunities for female students.

The institute offers one-year courses in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Desktop Publishing (DTP), Cosmetology, Fashion Designing and Technology, and Hospital Housekeeping, while a two-year Electronics Mechanic course is also available. The minimum eligibility for admission to all courses is passing Class 10. To encourage greater participation, the institute is providing free assistance to students for filling online application forms as part of the admission process.

According to the institute, candidates residing within the limits of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will be charged an annual training fee of Rs 1,500 along with a refundable deposit of Rs 600, while applicants from outside the municipal limits will have to pay an annual fee of Rs 3,000 and a deposit of Rs 600. Under the civic body’s policy, admitted students will also receive a monthly stipend of Rs 500. The institute further offers on-the-job training opportunities through tie-ups with various establishments and has a dedicated placement cell to assist students in securing employment after completion of their courses.

Appealing to students to take advantage of the opportunity, PCMC Commissioner Vijay Suryawanshi said skill-based education plays a key role in women’s empowerment and helps create better career prospects. “Through the Women’s Industrial Training Institute, female students are being provided employment-oriented training opportunities. More students should participate in the admission process and give a new direction to their careers,” he said.

Patil said the technical and vocational courses offered by the institute are designed to make students industry-ready and improve their chances of employment. He added that the admission process is being conducted in a transparent manner and urged interested students to submit their online applications.
