Amar Jawan Jyoti: The torch of the martyrs will now have a new address, the flame was taken to the National War Memorial

New Delhi, 21st January 2022: The Amar Jawan Jyoti, a symbol of the Indo-Pakistani War in 1971, has been merged with the flame of the National War Memorial today. The Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial has been remembering the martyrs for more than 50 years.

 

 

On Friday, under the instructions of the Central Government, Amar Jawan Jyoti was merged with the National War Memorial in the presence of Army officers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken a decision in this regard a few days back. As part of the merger process on Friday, the flame burning at the Amar Jawan Jyoti was merged with the flame burning at the National War Memorial.

 

 

Ex-servicemen have expressed happiness over this decision of the government. Retired Lt Gen PJS Pannu said that this decision of the government is very good. There is no question of transfer, respect is where the names of soldiers are written. The National War Memorial is the only place where soldiers should be honored.

 

 

Amar Jawan Jyoti Symbol of 1971 War

 

The flame burning in Amar Jawan Jyoti for more than 50 years is considered a symbol of 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. In the 1971 war, Indian soldiers defeated Pakistan. Bangladesh was born only after India’s historic victory in this war. The flame burning in the Amar Jawan Jyoti remembers the martyrs of the 1971 war.
