Ayush Minister Shripad Naik will be the chief guest for Sandu Ayurved Gaurav awards at a grand function in Pune on November 24,

Pune 22 November 2019 – Established in 1899 with an inspiration from the principles of Swadeshi and with ardent faith in Ayurveda, Sandu Brothers has been felicitating the vaidyas or medical practitioners to keep the flag flying high of this ancient science and also with the sense of social responsibility while serving in the medical field. The Sandu Brothers is felicitating such outstanding Vaidyas in an event named Sandu Ayurved Gaurav Sohala in Pune. Union Ayush minister Shri Shripad Naik will be chief guest for the function. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, special secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India will grace the occasion as special invitee.The grand felicitation function will be held on November 24, 2019 at Annabhau Sathe Auditorium.

Vaidyas who have served the field of Ayurveda with their outstanding performance will be felicitated with ‘Sandu Ayurved Bhushan’ and ‘Sandu Ayurved Gaurav’ awards. Vaidya Sameer Jamadagni will deliver a lecture on ‘Autism, Mental Disorder and Ayurved’, while Vaidya Ramdas Avhad will speak on ‘Ayurveda and General Practice’ on the occasion. After holding the glitterati function at the second capital of the state Nagpur last year, this year the prize distribution function is being held at cultural capital of the state, Pune. About 800 vaidyas and students studying the Ayurveda will be given entry through online registration.

Number of vaidyas have been working in the field of Ayurveda tirelessly to promote among the people from India and from across the world and to extend the benefits of the Ayurveda to the needy people. Many of them continue to strive against all odds they face including financial constraints and lack of positive response from the people. Such medical practitioners or Vaidyas are being felicitated by Sandu Brothers as token of appreciation for their outstanding work and in a bid to take their work to the society as whole. The felicitation function is part of the initiative by the Sandu Brothers.

“The ancient science was striving to get the mentorship of the rule, which was not coming across since the independence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by constituting Ministry of Ayush in 2014, gave its mentorship to the Ayurveda and other streams like Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy of medical science. We are thankful to him for the attempt,” said Shri Shashank Sandu Director, Sandu Brothers.
