Camp: Rs 1.35 Lakh Fine Collected From People Not Wearing Masks, Spitting On Roads

Camp, September 11, 2020: The Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) has started penal action against citizens who do not wear masks and spit on the streets. Till now a fine of Rs 1.35 lakh has been recovered from the citizens by the board, informed Amit Kumar, CEO of the Pune Cantonment.

Corona infection is increasing day by day in Pune city and district. Last week, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar ordered strict action against citizens who do not wear masks and spit. However, the board has been taking action since the lockdown. In the last 10 days, the PCB has collected Rs 1.35 lakh fine.

Corona infection is also rising in Pune city. Therefore, the citizens themselves also need to strictly follow the rules of the government, PCB has appealed.
