CM Eknath Shinde’s Future in Dark, Mahayuti May Disappear after Results, Says MP Sanjay Raut in Pune

Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th November 2024: Ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) visited Pimpri Chinchwad to support the Nationalist Congress Party -Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) campaign under the Mahavikas Aghadi banner. During the visit, Raut directed strong criticism at the Mahayuti government, particularly Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, claiming that both the Mahayuti alliance and Shinde’s political future would come to an end post-election results.
A press conference for Rahul Kalate’s campaign in Chinchwad was organised by the Mahavikas Aghadi, attended by NCP-SP Pune City President Ankush Kakade, former MLA Gautam Chabukswar, and a former Mayor of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
Raut told the gathered media, “Mahavikas Aghadi is receiving an overwhelming response from the people of Maharashtra. We will secure 160 to 165 seats, and the Chief Minister will come from our side. The Mahayuti will vanish from the state after 23rd November. Following the results, Eknath Shinde’s future will be bleak.”
On the political situation in Pimpri Chinchwad, Raut revealed that Shiv Sena (UBT) initially sought one constituency out of the three in the city but chose to make a compromise for the greater benefit of the Mahavikas Aghadi. Despite some party officebearers feeling disheartened by the decision, none left the party, and the aspirants themselves have been actively campaigning.
Raut also addressed the issue of Moreshwar Bhondve, who joined Uddhav Sena seeking a ticket. However, since no ticket was available for Uddhav Sena in the region, efforts were made to resolve the issue amicably. Raut expressed confidence in Rahul Kalate’s victory, stating, “This is Kalate’s first time contesting on the official party symbol. We had encouraged him to contest the Lok Sabha elections earlier, but now, with our collective support, he will march to the assembly with victory.”
