Daily Pune–Gorakhpur Summer Special Extended till July, 124 Additional Trips Announced

Pune, 24th April 2026: To manage the surge in passenger traffic during the ongoing summer travel season, Central Railway has extended the operation of its daily summer special trains running between Pune and Gorakhpur, adding 124 trips to the schedule.

According to railway officials, Train No. 01415 Pune–Gorakhpur Special will now run daily from May 15 to July 15, 2026, covering 62 additional trips. The train will depart from Pune at 06:50 hrs and reach Gorakhpur at 16:00 hrs the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 01416 Gorakhpur–Hadapsar Special will operate daily from May 16 to July 16, 2026, also with 62 additional trips. It will depart from Gorakhpur at 17:30 hrs and arrive at Hadapsar at 03:15 hrs on the third day.

The trains will run with a composition of 18 ICF coaches, including one AC 2-tier, five AC 3-tier, six sleeper class, four general second class, and two guard-cum-luggage vans.

Bookings for the extended trips of Train No. 01415 from Pune will open on April 26, 2026, through all computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and the official IRCTC website.

Railway authorities stated that the general second class and luggage-cum-guard coaches will operate as unreserved, with tickets available through the UTS system, including the mobile app and booking counters, at standard fares applicable to superfast, mail, and express trains.

Passengers have been advised to check detailed timings of halts at intermediate stations through the official Indian Railways enquiry portal or the NTES mobile application before commencing their journey.
