Pune, June 23, 2020: After the assembly elections, the drama of establishing power in Maharashtra was all over the country. These discussions are still ongoing in the political arena. Shiv Sena along with NCP and Congress joined hands for power in Maharashtra, which changed the game of politics. Earlier, the swearing-in of Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar was a big hit.

Now former Chief Minister Fadnavis has made a big revelation about this. He revealed that after the rejection of Shiv Sena, the signal for the alliance was received from the NCP itself. In an interview with senior journalist Raju Parulekar for The Insider, he has made several explosive disclosures.

Fadnavis said, “There was a direct signal from the NCP leadership that the Shiv Sena was not ready to come to power after the 2019 assembly election results. Two meetings were held. I was at one of those meetings. It was only after that meeting that the two decided to move forward together. Ajit Pawar alone did not take this decision to go with BJP.”

Fadnavis, without mentioning any names, directly indicated that the BJP got Ajit Pawar only after Sharad Pawar’s statement. He also said that if the Supreme Court decision were in our favor, my government and the government of Ajit Pawar would have survived 100 percent. “BJP forming alliance with NCP made Uddhav Thackeray angry,” remarked Fadnavis.

When asked about the alliance with Raj Thackeray, Fadnavis replied, “I have a personal friendship with Raj Thackeray. We agree with his point of Marathi and Hindutva. However, their extreme role in dealing with immigrants is not acceptable.”

However, he did not answer this question directly and said that this question should be asked only to Raj Thackeray.
