Mumbai, October 12, 2020:  Mumbai, which had stopped since morning due to grid failure, has gradually started gaining momentum. According to the latest information, electricity has been restored in some areas, the stalled train service has also been restored since morning. 

Power supplies have been commissioned in emergency services such as hospitals. According to the Central Railway CPRO, trains have resumed between CSMT-Panvel on the Harbor line. We are trying to restore services between CSMT-Kalyan, CSMT-Karjat / Kasara. Long-distance trains from Mumbai were rescheduled, and incoming trains were regulated at interchange points. Mumbai Central, Main Line train services have been restored, the CPRO said.

When power supply was disrupted in Mumbai, Maharashtra Energy Minister, Nitin Raut said that due to a technical glitch in Circuit-2 of Kalwa-Padgha power station, areas between Thane and Mumbai are facing power cuts. Our employees are working on it and power will be restored in 45 minutes to an hour, he said.
