The incident, which unfolded in broad daylight, shows the two uniformed officers engaged in a heated argument that quickly spiralled out of control.
What reportedly began as a disagreement over the day’s alleged “collections”, whether they were Rs 5000 or Rs 2800, soon escalated into a full-blown physical altercation. The two can be seen grappling, pushing each other, and eventually rolling on the road, still in uniform, as bystanders gathered and stepped in to separate them.
The visuals have since triggered a wave of reactions online, with many pointing out the sheer absurdity and irony of the situation. Users have questioned the conduct of the officers, calling it unbecoming of personnel entrusted with maintaining law and order. For some, the incident has been framed as a reflection of deeper, systemic issues, with the alleged reason behind the fight further fuelling conversations around corruption at the ground level.
