Pune, 21st September 2017: In India, there are lot of students who either are deprived of education or have no opportunity and support to complete their basic education. Not all children are blessed equally with the finances and the set up required to support their intelligence and flight of growth. One such case is that of the brilliant Tanuja Dattaram Morye, a girl from Nale Wather in Pawas, Ratnagiri. Her parents are labourers sustaining on daily wages. When Tanuja passed her SSC exam with 100% score from Swami Swarupanand Vidyamandir, Pawas and needed funds to pursue her higher education, Finolex Industries, India’s largest PVC pipes and fittings manufacturer along with their CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) came forward to help her to accomplish her goals. It was decided to take care of her junior college fees, her expenses towards lodging & boarding, and other educational requirements. The company donated 1,17,500 for higher education of Miss Tanuja Dattaram Morye.
Finolex Industries along with their CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) actively work in the areas of healthcare, education and community welfare and water conservation. MMF have been reaching out to people and supporting the less fortunate in their journey. Mukul Madhav Foundation has supported children who require monetary support to complete their education and peruse their ambitions. One of the recently success stories is that of Vishwas Shinde, another student from Ratnagiri who had been suffering from hearing issues and has recently completed his BE in medical engineering from the Finolex Academy of Management Technology (FAMT) securing 7.7 CGPA. Some others are, students like Mr. Anand Gaikwad and Mr. Vaibhav Pawar who are now part of the B.J. Medical College completing their MBBS or Mr Amol Zhagade, a visually-impaired student writing his first MA exam.
Speaking for this particular case, Mrs. Ritu Chhabria, Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation said, “Education, healthcare and water are basics in life and every individual have an equal right to them. We at MMF try to reach out to people in order to help and support them to achieve these basic amenities. Education in particular has become one of the important pillars of our work; be it the Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya or our numerous other individual cases around the country.” She further added, “Tanuja has been a bright student from childhood and had also won a silver medal in Homi Bhabha child scientist competition on a state level. Seeing her dedication and hard work towards her education and career we were touched. It is her own calibre which has brought her where she is today and we at the Mukul Madhav family wish her the very best.”
