Fit India Freedom Run” at CSMT on Central Railway

Mumbai, 28 Aug 2020: “Fit India Freedom Run” initiative is introduced by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Fit India Movement is conducting Fit India Freedom Run from 15th August – 2nd October 2020 to encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. The concept behind this run is that “It can be run anywhere, anytime!”.

As a part of this, Sanjeev Mittal, General Manager, Central Railway, B.K. Dadabhoy, Additional General Manager, A.K. Jain, Commissioner of Railway Safety (Central Circle), S.P. Vavre, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer and President, Central Railway Sports Association, S.K. Pankaj, Senior Deputy General Manager, and Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway, Shalabh Goel, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division, Central Railway and other officials participated in large numbers in this Run at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai. Central Railway officers, sports persons and staff have so far clocked 1.58 lakh km cumulatively from 15.8.2020. Similar runs are held at Divisional Offices at Bhusaval, Nagpur, Pune and Solapur, Workshops, Depots.
