From Singapore to Pune: Voter’s Special Trip Ends in Disappointment as Name Missing from List

Pune, 13th May 2024: Voting is underway for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, covering 11 Constituencies in Maharashtra, including the Pune Lok Sabha Constituency. However, one individual who travelled from abroad specifically to vote had to return disappointed.

Shreyash Kulkarni, hailing from Kothrud and currently residing in Singapore, made a special trip to Pune solely for voting. Despite taking a three-day holiday from work, he couldn’t cast his vote as his name was missing from the voter list. Shreyash, who has been working in Singapore for the past six years, had eagerly planned to return to Pune just for this purpose.

Even after extensive searching by his father over the past three days, Shreyash’s name remained elusive on the voter list. Despite having his family names listed, he had to leave without casting his vote, heading back to Singapore today.
