Ganesh Chaturthi 2023: Important Days and Dates to Know

Pune, 18th September 2023: There is no special muhurat (auspicious time) for the consecration of Ganesh idol and performing puja on Ganesh Chaturthi (September 19, Tuesday). 

The idol of Shri Ganesh can be consecrated from 4.50 am to 1.50 pm on Ganesh Chaturthi, which is celebrated on the Chaturthi of Shukla paksha in the month of Bhadrapad (Hindu calendar). The puja can be performed from early morning till the afternoon.

Ganesh Chaturthi is on Tuesday in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc. On Monday, the Tritiya will end at 12.40 pm and the Chaturthi will end at 1.45 pm on Tuesday.
