Hero Unveils Feature-Packed XOOM 160 Scooter for Indian Market

25th November 2023: For enthusiasts of Hero company’s vehicles, an exciting development awaits in the Indian market. Recently unveiled at a Hero Company exhibition, the new Hero XOOM 160 scooter promises a blend of innovative features and striking aesthetics. Positioned to challenge competitors like Yamaha Aerox 155 and Honda Unicorn, this scooter is set to redefine the segment. Anticipated features include an LCD display with smartphone connectivity, offering a host of functionalities such as OTA updates, call and SMS alerts, digital speedometer, and a Type C charger.

The heart of the Hero XOOM 160 is a robust 160cc engine, generating 14hp at 8000 rpm, delivering both power and performance. Smartphone connectivity enhances the user experience with features like call and SMS alerts, digital trip meter, and low battery warnings. A transparent visor with LED headlights and a single-piece comfortable seat contribute to the scooter’s ergonomic design. Hero aims to equip this scooter with advanced features like parking assist, electric start assist, and a spacious under-seat storage of 25 to 30 liters.

In terms of pricing, the Hero XOOM 160 Scooter is expected to start around Rs 1.20 lakh ex-showroom, making it a competitive choice in its segment. The anticipated launch window for this exciting addition to Hero’s lineup is between 2024 and 2025, with potential discounts during the launch month, possibly March. Competing with established models like Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Honda Unicorn, the Hero XOOM 160 Scooter is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian market.
