Hinjewadi: Hotel Grand Mannat Sealed For Six Months After Sex Racket Busted

Pimpri-Chinchwad, December 18, 2020: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Crime Branch Unit 4 had busted a sex racket operating at a hotel in Hinjewadi. Six women were rescued and a case was registered against four. Now the hotel has been sealed by the police for six months.

The accused identified in this case are Ganesh Kailas Pawar (20), Tayyab Syed, Yusuf Sardar Shaikh and Heer. The accused were engaged in prostitution racket involving six women at Hotel Grand Mannat at Yelwande vasti in Hinjewadi Phase 1. After getting information about this, the police raided the hotel and released the women. These young women have been sent to the Rescue Foundation shelter home in Mohammadwadi, Pune.

The investigation revealed that the hotel manager Ganesh Pawar and his accomplices were engaged in prostitution for money. The accused had posted his WhatsApp number on the internet under the name of Escort Services. When contacted on that number he would send photos of the girls and once the deal is done would give them a hotel address.

Hinjewadi Police had sent a proposal to Police commissioner Krishna Prakash for sealing the Hotel Grant Mannat. The Commissioner reviewed the matter legally and sent it to the Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta. According to his order, the Hotel Grant Mannat is sealed for six months. 
The action was taken under the guidance of Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, Additional Commissioner Ramnath Pokale, Deputy Commissioner (Crime) Sudhir Hiremath, Anand Bhoite, Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Birdar,  by the team of Senior Inspector of Police Balkrishna Sawant, Assistant Police Inspector Shashikant Dendge, Sub Inspector Anant Dalvi, Constable Kiran Pawar and Vijay Ghadge.
