Amravati, 9th August 2023: Central Railway’s New Amravati station has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first station on the Bhusaval Division and the third station within the Central Railway network to be designated as a Pink Station, exclusively managed by an all-women staff. Central Railway has consistently prioritized gender equality by providing equal opportunities to its female employees. This achievement follows the establishment of the first-ever All Women managed station, Matunga station on the Mumbai division, and later Ajni station on the Nagpur division.

Central Railway’s commitment to empowering women takes another stride forward with the inauguration of New Amravati station as an All Women managed station in the Bhusaval Division. The station proudly bears the title of being the inaugural “Pink Station” on the Bhusaval division and the third such station across the entire Central Railway network to be entirely staffed by women. The dedicated team at New Amravati station comprises 12 women employees, including four Deputy Station Superintendents, four Pointswomen, three Railway Protection Personnel, and one Station Ticket Booking Agent.

This remarkable station witnesses a daily footfall of approximately 380 passengers and facilitates the operations of ten trains on a daily basis.
