Pune, August 5, 2019 : India 4 Kashmir welcomes the historical decision taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government of abrogating the divisive article 370 that gave special status to the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Rohit Kachroo of India 4 Kashmir said, “We welcome the move of Govt of India to correct the historic blunder and congratulate all those who believe in the Letter and spirit of the constitution of India and hope that this new path will lead Kashmiri Hindus to their homes soon with pride and dignity”.

This move will be recorded in the history of India as an unprecedented one, it has corrected a colossal mistake that identified the state of J&K as a separate entity for seven decades. Article 370 not only alienated J&K from the rest of India but also gave our neighbouring state an alibi to sow and nurture seeds of separatism in the valley.

R.K Kaul, AEE (MES) retired, said, “People of J&K have attained Azadi today on Aug 5, 2019, in the real sense, with the abrogation of article 370 especially the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community , thanks to the duo of PM Narendra Modi ji and Amit Shah ji. Jai Hind, Vande Mataram”

We are hopeful that scraping of this divisive constitutional provision will bring prosperity to the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Jammu & Ladakh regions have been unduly starved for development due to skewed economic position taken by the successive State Governments.

People of Jammu and Ladakh will now be fully integrated into the mainstream economic development and avail the benefits of the Central Government policies and statutes which would earlier not applicable to the state . Kashmir is for all Indians has been a core belief at India 4 Kashmir, it is a cause that concerns all Indians who owe their allegiance to the Union of India and its Constitution. We feel a giant leap has been taken in that direction. Jyoti Kaul from India 4 Kashmir congratulated PM Sh. Narendra Modi and Sh. Amit Shah for honouring the huge mandate given to them by the people of India by translating their will into reality and actually walking the talk. She said that “ August 5, 2019 will be a red letter day in the history of India, acknowledged at par with the independence of India in 1947.
