Hyderabad, 24th April 2023: In the 34th match of IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a thrilling match at their home ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad to register their second straight win in IPL 2023.

 

The Hyderabad team could not reach the target of 145 runs. Batting first, Delhi scored 144 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Manish Pandey and Axar Patel scored 34 runs each for Delhi Capitals. Apart from these two, captain David Warner scored 21 runs. This is Hyderabad’s third consecutive defeat in IPL 2023.

 

Chasing the target of 145 runs, Hyderabad did not get off to a good start either. Harry Brook failed again and was dismissed for seven runs. Mayank Agarwal’s catch was dropped and taking advantage of this, Agarwal added 49 runs to the team’s total. Hyderabad scored 36 runs for the loss of one wicket in the Powerplay. Washington Sundar then took three wickets in the eighth over. He first took the wicket of skipper Warner. He managed to score 21 runs in 20 balls with the help of two fours and one six. Sarfraz played a poor shot and lost his wicket to Bhuvneshwar. Sarfaraz managed to score ten runs in nine balls. Aman Hakim Khan was also dismissed on the last ball of the same over.

 

After five wickets fell for 62 runs, Manish Pandey and Axar Patel put on a partnership of 69 runs off 60 balls for the sixth wicket. Axar Patel was dismissed in the 18th over.
