IPL 2023: Hyderabad Beat Delhi By Nine Runs
Delhi, 29th April 2023: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) avenged their home defeat by winning into Delhi’s home ground. Hyderabad defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by nine runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the 40th match of the season to keep Delhi at the bottom.
Chasing Hyderabad’s target of 198, Delhi’s struggling batsmen managed to reach 188 for the loss of six wickets. Mitchell Marsh scored 63 and Philip Salt scored 59 runs. But after these two were eliminated, the train to Delhi stalled.
After winning the toss and batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad were bowled out by just two batsmen. Openers Abhishek Sharma (67) and Heinrich Klaasen (53) scored half-centuries to take Hyderabad to 197 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
From Delhi, Mitchell Marsh gave 27 runs in four overs and took four wickets. Delhi’s Mukesh Kumar, Nortje, and Ishant Sharma were not successful in today’s match.
