IPL 2023: Kolkata Beats Hyderabad By Five Runs At Their Home Ground
Hyderabad, 4th May 2023: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beats Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by five runs in the 47th of the season played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Earlier, SRH defeated KKR at their home ground. Chasing KKR’s 172-run challenge, Hyderabad could only manage 166 for eight wickets in 20 overs.
Varun Chakravarthy, who bowled the last over for KKR, took one wicket and conceded only three runs while saving nine runs. Along with this Shardul Thakur also took two wickets giving 23 runs in three overs. Captain Makram scored 41 runs for Hyderabad.
KKR, who won the toss and bowled first, set a challenge of 172 runs for victory against SRH. For KKR, Rinku Singh scored 46 runs and captain Nitish Rana scored 42 runs. But the other batsmen of KKR could not shine much.
Marco Jansen and T Natarajan took two wickets each for Hyderabad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kartik Tyagi, Aiden Makram, and Markande took one wicket each.
