Pune/Nagpur, 21st April 2026: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the launch of its 11-night/12-day “Divya Dakshin Yatra” under the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train initiative, offering passengers a curated pilgrimage circuit across key spiritual and heritage destinations in South India. Bookings for the journey are now open through IRCTC’s tourism platform.

The train will originate from Nagpur and cover destinations including Hampi, Mysore, Coimbatore, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Tirupati, and the Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga. The itinerary is designed to combine religious tourism with visits to culturally significant locations.

According to IRCTC, the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will operate as a composite AC and non-AC service with a capacity of around 750 passengers. Travelers can opt for Economy Sleeper (SL), Standard 3AC, and Comfort 2AC classes. The package is priced at ₹21,690 for Sleeper class, ₹36,740 for 3AC, and ₹48,730 for 2AC.

Boarding and deboarding facilities will be available at multiple stations, including Nagpur, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Nasik, Igatpuri, Kalyan, and Pune.

Gaurav Jha, Group General Manager, IRCTC West Zone, Mumbai, said the train has been designed to provide a seamless pilgrimage experience. “This exclusive composite train connects major spiritual destinations in a single itinerary, ensuring convenience and comfort for passengers throughout the journey,” he said.

The all-inclusive package covers train travel, accommodation in budget hotels on a double, triple, or quad-sharing basis, vegetarian meals, transfers for sightseeing, and travel insurance. IRCTC tour managers will accompany the passengers to coordinate logistics during the journey.

Dr A. K. Singh, PRO, IRCTC West Zone, Mumbai, said the initiative is part of efforts to expand tourism offerings. “The Divya Dakshin Yatra brings together key spiritual circuits of South India while enabling better regional connectivity through an integrated travel experience,” he said.

IRCTC stated that health and safety protocols will be followed throughout the journey. Passengers can access booking details and additional information via the IRCTC tourism portal or designated contact channels.
