New Delhi, 26th February 2022: Actress Kangana Ranaut is in a lot of discussion for her impeccable style. She often expresses her opinion on the contemporary issues of the country and upcoming films.
Now on his social media handle, praising Alia Bhatt’s released film Gangubai Kathiawadi without naming the film, the actress said “I did not think that the movie mafia would do some good work.”
Sharing the post on her Instagram story, Kangana wrote, “Happy to hear that South’s film industry has revived theaters with record-breaking collections. ”
She further added “Recently with the female-centric film, which has a big diamond and a superstar director. These may be small steps, but not insignificant for theatres. All these steps will be important for those cinemas who are on ventilators here. This is a good thing. Never expected that the film mafia would rise to the occasion and do something good. If they do, we fully appreciate them and hope for the best.”
Earlier she had criticized Alia and Gangubai. The actress said, “Rs 200 crore will be burnt to ashes at the box office on Friday. Papa’s (movie mafia daddy) angel who holds a British passport. Want to prove that rom-com bimbo can work..”
She added “The biggest drawback is the casting of the film is wrong… it won’t improve. It is no wonder that screens are going south and Hollywood movies. Bollywood is destined for doom. As long as the film mafia has the power.”
Alia Bhat is playing the role of lead mafia queen Gangubai in the film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In the film, Alia depicts her political journey from pushing Gangubai into prostitution work. Apart from Alia, Ajay Devgan, Vijay Raaz, and Huma Qureshi also played important roles in the film.
