Khandala: Bus With Students Crashes Into Tree, No Casualties
Khandala, 6th January 2023: Due to brake failure, a school tour bus, travelling for the darshan of Ekvira Devi and Gagangiri Maharaj, was involved in an accident at the back ghat of Shingroba temple. Fortunately, a major accident was avoided as the bus hit a tree. Six teachers and 64 students from grades III to VII were on the bus.
As soon as the information about the accident came to light, Police Inspector Shirish Pawar of Khopoli Police Station, Police Inspector Gauri More of Traffic Branch, PSI Yogesh Bhosle and Mahesh Chavan of Borghat Police, Safety Officer of IRB Shinde, members of social organisations, and social activist Kailas Gaikwad rushed to the spot. All the children were taken to Gagangiri Maharaj Math safely after the children were given food and water.
