New Delhi, September 1, 2020: Indian Army troops have managed to occupy the height near the southern Pangong lake bank beating the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China. Both the sides have been engaged in a standoff over three months after the PLA troops transgressed into the Indian areas in Ladakh.

The PLA had installed heavy surveillance cameras and other equipment near the height of the Pangong lake to monitor the movement of the Indian troops on the dormant height. Despite the installation of heavy surveillance equipment, the Indian troops occupied the height.

The PLA has installed heavy surveillance equipment along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to monitor the Indian troops. This has been done to respond immediately to the Indian troops when the PLA sees them patrolling in the areas claimed by them.

According to sources, it has been revealed that the Indian troops have detached the surveillance equipment after they occupied the dormant height which is rightfully in India’s territory.

The Chinese have laid claims over the height and were planning to occupy it to increase their strategical and geographical advantage along the southern bank of Pangong lake and the Spangur gap which is open territory. The Chinese have deployed heavily armoured regiments near the Spangur Gap.

The Indian Army had been readily prepared to take action against the Chinese who were trying to occupy the dormant height on the night of August 29-30. The Indian troops successfully thwarted the Chinese attempt to occupy the strategic height after an intense face-off.
