Lockdown Restrictions In Pune Will Be Re-Imposed If COVID Positivity Rate Crosses……: Ajit Pawar
Pune, 9th August 2021: While giving relief to people in Pune, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has given a clear warning. He has clarified that the restrictions will be re-imposed if there is another increase in the number of Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients in the district. Therefore, citizens will have to be more careful.
“The day the positivity rate goes beyond seven per cent, all the restriction rules will come into force again. The same thing happened with the second wave. Restrictions were lifted and the number of patients increased so much that there was no availability of beds. Everyone had to pay a very high price for it”, Pawar said.
He chaired a meeting of people’s representatives and officials at the Council Hall on Sunday to review the COVID situation in the district. After that, a decision was taken to lift restrictions in areas under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Pune rural.
“It will help if the number of Corona patients is kept under control. Otherwise restrictions will have to be imposed again. Everyone should be careful there is no crowding at any place”, Pawar appealed.
