Mumbai, 10th November 2021: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called upon state transport corporation employees to eschew agitations in the wake of earnest government efforts to resolve their grievances.

“Your are our very own, not outsiders. The state government has been seized of the issues over the past several days and seriously working to resolve the same as well as fulfill the demands placed before us,” Thackeray said.

“Even the High Court, whom we appraised of the various steps taken in this regard, expressed satisfaction over our efforts. As per the directives of the Court we set up a special committee to find amicable resolutions to the various demands you have placed before us and the committee has already started this process in right earnest. It is once again my humble request, with folded hands to all agitating state transport corporation workers not to hold the poor and common citizenry of Maharashtra who depends on the state transporting buses for travel to ransom and withdraw from the adaptations,” the Chief Minister added.

He further noted, “We have all been collectively fighting against the covid-19 pandemic for the better part of the last two years and making efforts with great difficulties to move ahead in the right direction forward. Once again, I humbly request all the agitating ST workers to co-operate with the state government in these times of pandemic and difficulty.”
