Maharashtra Govt Allows Cinema Halls, Indoor Sports, Swimming Pool And Yoga Institutes To Open With Some Conditions

Pune, November 4, 2020: The Maharashtra government today issued order to allow the opening of Cinema Halls, Indoor Sports, Swimming Pool And Yoga Institutes with some conditions. Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar issued the order on behalf of the state government.

Swimming pools being used for training of State, National and International level sportspersons, outside the containment zones, will be allowed to operate with effect from 5th November 2020. The SOP for the same will be issued by the Sports and Youth Affairs Department. The Sports and Youth Affairs Department will take into consideration the SOP issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. 

Yoga Institutes outside the containment zones will be allowed to function from 5th November 2020. The SOP for the same will be issued by the Public Health Department. The Public Health Department will take into consideration the SOP issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. 

Indoor sports like badminton, tennis, squash, indoor shooting ranges etc. will be allowed with physical distancing and sanitation measures with effect from 5th November. 2020. 

Cinema halls theatres/multiplexes/drama theatres will be allowed to open with 50% of their seating capacity in areas outside the Containment Zones only, with effect from 5th November 2020. No eatables will be allowed inside the Cinema halls /theatres / multiplexes drama theatres. The SOP for the same will be issued by the Cultural Affairs Department and local authorities. The Cultural Affairs Department will take into consideration the SOP issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
