Mumbai, 19th March 2022: The Maharashtra state government has extended the ‘single window’ scheme across the state to allow the production of films, television serials, commercials and documentaries at shooting locations under the control of the government or semi-government agencies.

In the first phase, the scheme was implemented in Mumbai city and suburbs. Under this, shooting permission was given for the locations under the control of the government or semi-government agencies. Taking into consideration the experience gained during the initial phase of implementation, it has been decided to extend the scheme across the state with necessary changes.

For the implementation of this scheme, Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation and Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari in Goregaon will act as the official monitoring body. Under this, necessary no-objection permits of State Government or Semi-Government Departments will be issued for filming at Government or Semi-Government shooting locations under the jurisdiction of Central and State Governments.

To obtain permission the filmmakers need to submit their applications through the online system at www.filmcell.maharashtra.gov.in. Also, a no-objection certificate (NOC) needs to be submitted from the private, central government or semi-government authority of the shooting location. In this particular case, the certificate also needs to be submitted from the local bodies or police administration. The permission will be given for a particular time and if the application is rejected, it will be informed to the concerned applicant immediately.
