Maharashtra Police Excels at 68th All India Police Duty Meet

Ranchi, 15th February 2025: The 68th All India Police Duty Meet concluded successfully in Ranchi, Jharkhand today, after a six-day event that began on 10th February. The competition saw participation from 18 states, 2 union territories, and 2 units across India.
Maharashtra State Police delegation, comprising 51 police officers and personnel along with 7 police dogs, showcased exceptional performance by securing a total of 4 medals. The team also clinched the Running Trophy in the Police Videography competition.
The award distribution ceremony took place in Ranchi, Jharkhand, with Jharkhand Minister Radhakrishna Kishore presiding over the event.

– Scientific Aid to Investigation

Bronze medal secured by Police Constable Yugraj Pujari from State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Group 2.
– Anti-Sabotage Check
Ground Search: The Maharashtra Team secured the second position.
– Dog Squad Competition
Bomb Detection: Gold medal won by the dog named Surya and its handler Nilesh Dayal from Kolhapur Region.
– Police Videography
Silver medal clinched by Police Constable Dada Kisan Gore from SRPF Group 2.
The Maharashtra State Police has been organizing its own Police Duty Meet annually since 2002 to enhance the professional skills of police officers and personnel. This year, a special training and practice camp was held from 1st January to 5th February at Maharashtra Intelligence Academy, Pune. The camp, organized by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Maharashtra State, focused on six key areas: Scientific Aid to Investigation, Anti-Sabotage Check Competition, Computer Competition, Police Photography, Police Videography, and Dog Squad Competition.
The final team for the All India Police Duty Meet was selected based on the performance in selection trials conducted during this training period.
