Pune, 1 April 2021: The aspirants of Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exams have alleged that the timetable for the MPSC exams this year has not yet been released, as the State Government has not yet released a list of vacant positions. The aspirants are now concerned about whether the exams will be held or not.

The MPSC was expected to release the schedule for the 2021 examinations in December 2020 itself. The exams have already been postponed five times due to the Coronavirus situation. On March 21st, the examination was finally conducted, thus proving that with planning, the exams could still be held amidst a pandemic. So now, the students have demanded that the State Government must release the list of vacant positions soon so that the MPSC can schedule the examinations for 2021.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, as well as the delays due to the Maratha reservation issue, the recruitment process in the state has been pending for around two years. This is depriving many aspirants of a chance at answering and clearing the examination, as they are crossing the age limit. While it had been assured that the age limit would be increased, no decision has been made on the same as of yet.
