Pune, 9th July 2021: The Narendra Modi government has given a minimum base price for sugar procurement, given packages to factories, introduced ethanol policy, so the dying sugar industry has survived. With the establishment of a new Ministry of Co-operation by the Central Government, better work can be done in this area and Maharashtra will benefit the most, said former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis.

He was speaking at a press conference held in Pune. The central government has given thousands of crores of rupees to the state government. The central government has given money to milk unions, sugar factories and yarn mills. For years, the co-operation department was criticizing the central government for neglect. But now, for the first time in 70 years, the Ministry of Co-operation has been established. The establishment of the Ministry of Co-operation will greatly benefit Maharashtra in the whole country. Amit Shah was working in the co-operation field before entering politics. One of the leading names in Gujarat co-operation was Amit Shah, so he has become a minister, said Fadnavis.

Hari Narake NCP spokesperson?

On Hari Narake criticizing Fadnavis on the other backward class (OBC) reservation, Fadnavis said, “Is Hari Narake a thinker or a spokesperson for the NCP? I don’t understand this. He should criticize the OBC reservation, but he is speaking unilaterally. So don’t underestimate their criticism. It takes four months to create empirical data. But this state government does not want to do it, it just wants to pass the time in the name of reservation. That is why if our government comes, I can give reservation in three months.”
