Nearly 10.5 Lakh People Vaccinated In Pune City Till May

Pune, 1st June 2021: As a result of permission given to private hospitals for vaccination, more than 10.5 lakh people are vaccinated by the end of May 2021.

There was a shortage of vaccines in the state; therefore the vaccination for people between the ages of 18 to 44 years has been slowed down. But recently the private hospitals were granted permission for vaccines therefore the vaccination process has increased after 20th May.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), till 31st May a total of 10.55 lakh people were vaccinated in the city. Out of this 2.57 lakh, people have taken both doses of the vaccine while 7.98 lakh people have taken the 1st dose of the vaccine. Total 77, 960 people between the age of 18 to 44 years have taken the 1st dose of the vaccine.
