Nearly 29.7 Lakh Voters to Cast Ballots in Pune ZP, Panchayat Samiti Polls on Feb 7

Pune, 3rd February 2026: As many as 2,972,359 voters in Pune district are set to cast their ballots in the Zilla Parishad (ZP) and Panchayat Samiti elections on February 7, District Collector and District Election Officer Jitendra Dudi announced on Monday, urging high turnout to strengthen grassroots democracy.

The district administration has arranged 3,605 polling stations to ensure smooth voting across urban and rural areas. Of the registered electorate, 1,522,256 are male voters, 1,450,014 are female voters, and 91 are registered under the ‘other’ category.

To promote voter-friendly facilities and encourage participation, officials have also designated 13 model polling stations and 13 all-women polling stations, one in each taluka.

Collector Dudi appealed to eligible voters to visit their designated polling stations and exercise their democratic right responsibly, underscoring that high voter turnout is essential for strengthening the foundations of local governance.
