New Voter ID Card Not Needed In Case of Change in Locations, Know Benefits of e-EPIC

New Delhi, 21st January 2022: On the occasion of 11th National Voters’ Day, the Election Commission launched the facility of Digital Voter ID Card or Electronic Electoral Photo ID Card (e-EPIC) across the country. Apart from the voter card, the Election Commission has provided many other options for voting.
e-EPIC is the non-editable and secure PDF version of the Voter ID card. The advantage of e-EPIC is that voters will not have to request a new voter ID card every time they change their city or state.
e-EPIC can be downloaded easily with the help of a mobile or computer. One can also keep it in Digi Locker.
e-EPIC can be easily downloaded by following the steps given below:
- Firstly log in to the website of http://www.nvsp.in
- After logging in, click on the option of e-EPIC card
- Register using username and password
- After that, click on e-KYC to complete the KYC
- Pass face liveness verification after e-KYC
- Update your mobile number to complete e-KYC
- After completion of this process, download e-EPIC
At present, this facility is available only for voters who have registered after November 2020.
