Ranchi, November 25, 2020: NTPC Limited, one of the country’s Maharatna companies and India’s largest power conglomerate, has issued an advertisement for the recruitment of Diploma Engineer positions from its coal mining headquarters at Ranchi.

As per advertisement (No.01 / 2020) released by NTPC, applications are invited from qualified candidates for a total of 70 vacancies of Diploma Engineer in Mining, Mechanical, Electrical and Mine Survey. Interested candidates can apply through the online application form to be made available from NTPC on the recruitment portal, ntpccareers.net The last date of application is 12th December 2020.

In order to apply for the posts of Diploma Engineer in the Mining, Mechanical, Electrical and Mine Survey Departments, the candidates must have passed a full-time regular diploma with a minimum of 70 percent marks in the trade related to a recognized institution.

The selection of candidates for NTPC Diploma Engineer recruitment is to be done through two stages of computer-based online examination. In the first phase, there will be a total of 120 questions of multiple choice nature from general English, quantitative aptitude and logical subjects. The duration of the examination will be two hours and 1 mark is prescribed for each question, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. The qualifying mark is 40, while for reserved classes it is 30 percent. Based on the first phase, 10 times of the vacancies will be invited for the second phase.

The second phase of computer-based online examination will have a total of 120 multiple choice questions. The duration of the examination will be two hours and 1 mark is prescribed for each question, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. The qualifying mark is 40, while for reserved classes it is 30 percent. The appointment letter will be issued as per the merit list made on the basis of the second phase. No skill test will be conducted.
