Outstanding Service Recognized: Republic Day Awards for ’12th Fail’ Fame IPS Officer Manoj Sharma and Dedicated CISF Personnel

Delhi,  25 january 2023: On the eve of the 75th Republic Day, over 1,000 police personnel, including members of the fire service, home guard, civil defence, and correctional services, will be recognized with various gallantry and service medals. Among the recipients are 1,132 individuals, including CISF personnel, whose names were announced a day before the Republic Day celebrations.

IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, known for his connection to the Hindi film “12th Fail,” is among the CISF personnel honoured with Police and Fire Service Medals. Alongside him is his batchmate Jitendra Rana of the Bihar cadre, both serving on deputation in CISF and holding positions as Chief Airport Security Officers (CASOs) at Mumbai and Delhi airports, respectively.

The following CISF personnel have been honoured with President’s Police Medals on Republic Day:
