Pimpri: Hundreds Of Plants Burnt In Fire At Military Dairy Farm
Pimpri, February 25, 2021: A fire broke out at the Military Dairy Farm in Pimpri on Wednesday evening in which hundreds of trees were burnt. The saplings were recently planted during a mega plantation drive.
The plantation was done in this area under the leadership of corporator Sandip Waghere. Overall 30,000 saplings were planted and the beginning of this plantation drives was started at the hands of the then forest minister Sudheer Mungantiwar.
Officials have estimated that about 10,000 plants have been destroyed in the fire.
